Baker & McKenzie LLP Represented Bank of Montreal in a Cross-Border Credit Facility Transaction

 

Chicago, June 30, 2008 – Baker & McKenzie LLP represented the Bank of Montreal, acting through its Toronto branch, as borrower in connection with an amended and restated credit facility for an amount in Mexican pesos not exceeding the equivalent of US$200 million provided by Banco Inbursa, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple, Grupo Financiero Inbursa, as Lender.

The Baker & McKenzie team based in Chicago was led by banking & finance Partners Jose A. Moran and Craig Meland, with the assistance of Sameer Doshi, an associate in the office.

“We are pleased to have once more assisted the U.S. Securitization Group of Bank of Montreal on this financing, which was key to provide credit enhancement in connection with a securitization program in Mexico.
