Civil Antitrust Litigation

Private enforcement of antitrust laws has long been a major element of the US antitrust enforcement scheme. The extreme penalties that can result from the highly punitive treble damage and class action features of US law make skilled representation a necessity. While we believe that sound advice is the best and most cost-effective approach to antitrust issues, the North American Antitrust Practice Group has had extensive and successful experience in handling private antitrust litigation, including both individual lawsuits and class actions. In addition to substantial trial experience, the US members of the group also have successfully argued cases before state and federal courts, including a landmark decision by the US Supreme Court.

With our substantive knowledge and practical litigation experience, we are better able to develop sound litigation strategies and provide the best possible results for our clients. While we typically represent defendants, our experience in representing plaintiffs has enhanced our defensive strategies and enables us to more effectively represent our clients.
