Baker & McKenzie's first German office was founded in Frankfurt/Main in 1962. Baker & McKenzie was one of the first legal firms to have a presence in Germany. Subsequently, during the nineties, the firm established further offices in Germany: Berlin (1990), Munich (1997) and Duesseldorf (1999).

As one of the leading firms in Germany, we advise domestic and international companies in all areas of private and public commercial law. Baker & McKenzie's German offices comprise more than 170 lawyers and tax counsellors, a considerable number of whom are also notaries, chartered accountants and specialised lawyers in the fields of tax, labour or administrative law. The majority of our German lawyers have studied and practised law in another jurisdictions.
